Oh My!

Dear HugShy, it looks like K and I are splitting up, ugh! I hate to say this, but.. I will need to stay on in the house if that's alright with you?? Let me know.

DRAMA
In the last week, I had two exes-who-are-now-friends storm my soon-to-be-vacated rental. (One manages property and the other has a cleaning business.) They told me nothing looked bad, so I had decided to keep it. I was busy drafting newspaper ads.

Looks like things have taken a turn. I'm surprised. Most people seem to have a better go of it than me when it comes to relationships and my tenant had looked happy -- Was it less than a month ago? (see post entitled STORAGE UNIT -- too lazy to link.)

LANDLORD REVENGE
At the time I signed up for my first creative writing class four years ago, I had to evict some tenants from this same house. It wasn't as difficult as I thought, going to eviction court and dealing with the aftermath.I won and I lost. They vacated the house within a week. I never saw the money. (Hoo boy, the things I found when cleaning the trash out later! Credit and criminal checks are *good* things when you're a landlord.)

"Write a five page story showing character conflict," our writing professor assigned. So: I wrote about a couple who abandon their two-year-old. I knew my tenant would never do that -- but hee hee it was deliciously evil to imagine! (And I got an "A".)

I still kinda like the story...
