My Blog sucks.
My blog writing sucks the big wazoo. Waa waa waa I hate my job waa waa waa I hate Dayton waa waa waa I don't have a boyfriend waa waa waa. Here I am at 2 a.m. on a Sunday morning, writing another blog entry. Well you know something? Get over it!
Here's how my Saturday went. I drove to Dayton for my friend M's birthday gathering. And I had a lot of laughs with the folks there, but the guy they set me up with was a little weird and cold-acting. Who can blame him, but .. Oh well.
So, my day really began when I went to the Borders bookstore by the mall. I bought the following:
We stayed to listen to white rappers. We were maybe the only ones not related to them in some way. They were so bad they were good -- technical difficulties, etc. We picked a theme from each and tried to crank it out with their rhythms: "Crack Ho's!" "Abortion Rap! We want the Abortion Rap!" "Lick some bloody muff!" Yeahhh! I'm sure we made an impression.
I worried that B might singlehandledly take them on, all five-feet of her, after all The Rag feminism of the week before. But no, she was cool: I guess I dont know what feminism stands for these days. B sometimes may be intense and a drunken lush, but she's a hoot to be around. Aren't we all?
This blog sucks. I should have written about my job.

So, my day really began when I went to the Borders bookstore by the mall. I bought the following:
- Web Design in a Nutshell.
I originally signed this book out from the library, and it was so great in explaining the screen set-ups, HTML, XHTML, DHTML, style sheets, java and all manner of graphics, I just had to have it. I almost got other books in the same series by O'Reilly Publishing, but it can add up quickly $$$.
Even though I haven't practiced my webpage development nearly as much as I'd like, I have memorized a few things. I can code tables and lists in raw HTML... Without help. That's a start, right? I'm such a geek. - Elliot Smith's Kill Rock Star CD.
I've been listening to Either/Or ever since my friend burned me a copy on Thursday. So, it's time to take a chance and buy another one by this same guy. I had to ask the unshaven, 20 year old salesguy for some help, and he said they were selling out fast due to his recent death. Oh my. He recommended XO but they were already out of that. But that's OK, because my friend MB likes Kill Rock Star the best. I was listening to it a while ago and I agree: It's preeedy good.
- pizzicato five playboy & playgirl.
DJ first introduced me to the pizzicato five a few years ago - with a fun tune "Twiggy Twiggy James Bond". I took a chance on buying something sound-unheard, but it had a cool cd cover, and sadly that's how I made my final purchase decision. Their stuff is very pop late 60s. I love it, and I played it for D a little tonight. He said he wants a copy. He likened it to Marilyn McCoo and the Fifth Dimension. Well well well.
- Grandaddy Sumday.
I hadn't planned on buying anything more, but this was playing overhead while I was shopping. I thought, at first, one of the songs could it possible be Elliot Smith??? But, when I asked the guy where the Elliot Smith CD's were, I also asked him what was playing, and he lit right up: "The Grandaddy's, they're great!" I'm listening to them right now and yup, along with the critics, I'd have to agree...
